The Dagbani Audio Scriptures broadcast which ended last two years ago re-started in October 2008. The concern for re-broadcast has been a major and constant request by residents of Tamale and its environs. Recently a Christian group named Charity African Mission donated to the Bible Society of Ghana an amount of four thousand cedis (4,000) to help re-start the broadcast.

A woman has started a local Bible school in her church to teach many of the people in her church who could not read and write using the Fante FCBH cassette.  Madam Paulina Ekuban from Mensah – Kwaa a small village was full of joy when she was handed a copy of the audio scripture cassette.

Chief of Bekpiela loves the Word of God and lives by it PDF  | Print |  E-mail
In the Dagbon area hardly would one find a chief or an overlord who is a Christian. Often they would claim Islam as their religion. Bekpiela, a suburb about 5 km from central Tamale is a traditional area under the traditional leadership of Na Bekpiela who has developed a strong affection for the FCBH program.

Launching of the second phase of the One Million Bibles for JHS was held at Kasseh in the Ada District on Wednesday September 23, 2009 at the Kasseh Presbyterian Church. The guest of honour was the Hon. Alex Tettey-Enyo, Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for the Ada Constituency. The Minister also presented the commemorative 500,001 Bible to a pupil of the Kasseh JHS.

On Sunday July 27, 2009, The Bible Society of Ghana marked the 500,000th (Midway) distribution of the JHS Bibles at the La Bethel Presbyterian Church during the forenoon service. The guest of honour was H. E. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, the First Lady, who also gave out the commemorative 500,000th copy of the Jubilee Bibles to a pupil from the Osu Home JHS.
