PRAYER AND PRAISE

Let us thank God

  1. For seeing the Society through the previous year in our operations.
  2. For support and partnership of the churches.
  3. For preserving the lives of officers, National Council, Committees and staff.
  4. For Officers, Council and Committee members and for their commitment and sacrificial service to the Society.
  5. For members of the Bible Society of Ghana and individual donors who continue to support our work through prayer, involvement and kind donations.
  6. For staff dedication and hard work in pursuing the mission and vision of the Society.
  7. For increased coverage and for how far He has brought us in the JHS Bible distribution.
  8. For successful Young Professionals’ Dinner in Accra, Obuasi and Kumasi and for successful Presidential Dinners in Accra, Takoradi and Kumasi.
  9. For what He continues to do through our programs – FCBH, Youth Impact Project, E to E, etc.
  10. For scriptures that are available in our local languages and the progress made in our scripture translation in the various languages.
  11. For His Faithfulness in supplying our needs financially and in other ways.
  12.  For safety in travel (By land, and by air) for both Council members and Staff.

 

Let us pray:

  1. That the year 2012 will hold unique blessing and favour from the Lord.
  2. For Council, Committees, staff and their families.

-     Good health, strength and grace in their day to day activities.

  • Stable and peaceful relationships, especially marriages
  • Financial security
  • Greater moral and spiritual strength
  • Divine guidance and progress in all that they do.
  • Blessing that will culminate in breakthrough financially and in other ways.

  1. For a wonderful and fruitful nationwide celebration of the Bible Week.
  2. For successful completion and prompt typesetting of the
  • Dagaare New Testament
  • Ewe Bible with DC Books
  • Asante Twi Bible with DC Books
  • Akuapem Twi Bible with DC Books

 

  1. For the progress of  
  • Esahie Old Testament Translation
  • Komba New Testament Translation 
  • On-going Literacy programs (Esahie, Dangme and Dagbani)
  • Gurune (Frafra) that is to start soon

 

  1. For the safe arrival of expected scriptures (Asante-Twi, Akuapem Twi Bibles and Dagbani Bible with DC Books).
  2. For increase in number and desire of people using the scriptures in the local languages and its transforming impact on their lives.
  3. That the lives of our young people in JHS who received Bibles since 2007 be transformed.
  4.  For ability to get the JHS project to a successful completion.
  5. For increased support in fundraising especially our local support.
  6. For more distribution outlets and wider opportunities to reach out to churches and all people with the Scriptures.
  7. For 2012 Annual General Meeting in August and other programmes.
  8. For the work of the United Bible Societies, its leadership, for the changes going on within the system and a ceaseless intervention of the Holy Spirit in all activities.
  9. For renewed vision, spiritual renewal and commitment to our overall task.
  10. About the global financial crisis and its impact on national economies and the eventual effect on the operations of United Bible Societies and the National Bible Societies.

 

                                                                       

Let us pray

  1. For fresh continued visitation of God’s Spirit on the Church.
  2. For the Church in Ghana to stay focused and faithful in prayer and living according to the Word of God.
  3. Against all forms of Godlessness that is eating its way into the Church system and society at large.
  4. That Christ will be King and ruler forever over the nation Ghana.  Let us pray that we may experience good governance, a healthy economy and a wonderful national life influenced by the love and fear of God.
  5. Specifically for 2012 Elections from campaigns to the end, and for peace to prevail before, during and after the elections.
  6. For peace in our sub-region especially La Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria.
